Privacy Policy for Townbuilders

This privacy policy explains how Townbuilders, a mobile game developed by Ewen COLLIN (individual developer based in France), collects, uses, and protects your data. By using the game, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Data We Collect

• Geolocation Data: Collected only while the game is running in the foreground. This data is used to display relevant in-game elements around your real-world position. It is stored on a server only when needed and deleted after one year on a rolling basis.
• Device Information: Includes device model and operating system version, used for technical support and diagnostics.
• Game Logs: Logs related to gameplay and performance are collected for debugging purposes.
• Account Information: Your email address and username are collected to manage your game account.
• Game Progress: Your progress is stored to allow you to resume gameplay across sessions.

2. Technologies and Services Used

We use the following services:

• Firebase (Android): Used only for push notifications. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
• OneSignal (iOS): Used only for push notifications. See OneSignal Privacy Policy.
• ARCore (Android) and ARKit + ARCore (iOS): Used for augmented reality features. These services may independently collect sensor or location data.

We do not share your personal data with any third parties. However, the above services may collect certain data on their own. Please refer to their privacy policies.

3. Children’s Privacy

This game is not intended for children under the age of 13 or 16 (depending on jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data to:

• Show game content based on your real-world location
• Save and restore your game progress
• Manage your account
• Identify and fix bugs and issues
• Send push notifications (if enabled)

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties.

5. Data Retention

Geolocation data is retained for up to one year, then deleted automatically on a rolling basis. Other data is stored as long as your account is active.

6. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access your data
• Request correction or deletion
• Object to processing
• Withdraw your consent at any time
